Together with our local partner Mada Megafauna we are offering ‘scientific stays’; where you will be helping our field team with data collection and data entry, and spend your days swimming with whale sharks! In the afternoon you will participate to a new green turtle project for its first season. A minimum commitment of 3 weeks, as well as basic French and strong swimming abilities are required. Find out more here.
Join us for a day
Our team will be back in Nosy Be from September 2017 onwards, when the whale sharks begin to come back in the area. You can join us for a day in the water to swim with whale sharks and learn more about our research. Contact Les Baleines Rand’eau directly either by email or phone ahead of time as it is the busy season.
Our field team will also be delivering regular presentations about whale shark ecology and research while in Nosy Be. Stay posted for exact dates!
